Create My Day

The most often referenced interview from the film “What the Bleep”

is Dr. Joe Dispenza’s comments on creating his day.

“I wake up in the morning, and I consciously create my day the way I want it to happen. Now, sometimes, because my mind is examining all the things that I need to get done, it takes me a little bit to settle down, and get to the point, of where I’m actually intentionally creating my day.

But here’s the thing.” “When I create my day, and out of nowhere, little things happen that are so unexplainable, I know that they are the process or the result of my creation. And the more I do that, the more I build a neural net, in my brain, that I accept that that’s possible.

Gives me the power and the incentive to do it the next day.” “So, if we’re consciously designing our destiny, if we’re consciously, from a spiritual standpoint, throwing in the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality or affect our life, because reality equals life. Then, I have this little pact that I have when I create my day.” “I say, I’m taking this time to create my day, and I’m infecting the Quantum Field. Now, if it is in fact, the observer’s watching me the whole time that I’m doing this, and there is a spiritual aspect to myself. Then, show me a sign today, that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won’t expect.” “So, I’m as surprised – at my ability to be able to experience these things, and make it so that I have no doubt that its come from you.

And so, I live my life, in a sense, all day long, thinking about being a genius, or thinking about being the glory and the power of God, or thinking about being Unconditional Love.” “I’ll use living as a genius, for example. And as I do that, during parts of the day, I’ll have thoughts that are so amazing, that cause a chill in my physical body, that have come from nowhere. But then, I remember that that thought has an associated energy, that’s produced an effect in my physical body.” “Now, that’s a subjective experience, but the truth is is that I don’t think that unless I was creating my day to have unlimited thought, that that thought would come.

Create a beautiful day for yourself  !

Tips For Stress Reduction

meditation_stress reduction

All of us are inevitably faced with stress and stressful situations at some point of our lives or the other. So how do we go about dealing with them? It is true that one cannot run off from life’s everyday problems. But there are definitely ways and means by which we can change our own attitudes and tackle issues in ways that do not cause us any strain.

Stress can be dangerous, as it actually ends up impacting our health in a very negative way. One sees many people falling ill and maybe even dying of stress and stress-related problems today. Hence, if you wish to live the full life that you indeed deserve to live, you could do very well to follow some of the stress-reduction tips listed out below:

Meditation

Meditation is known to induce a feeling of calm and dramatically reduce stress levels. Take time out for yourself everyday, at least about a half hour or so, seat yourself comfortably in a silent place where you will be totally undisturbed, turn on soft music if you so wish and then start meditating. Learn to appreciate the silence around you and internalize your thoughts towards the peace that lies within you. You might find your mind running amuck initially, but by and by, you will feel the peace and the sense of quiet overtake your mind, finally soothing it and healing it from within.

Exercise

Exercise is one of the best ways to reduce stress, depression and other negative factors affecting us. Regular, moderate exercise boosts the immune system, improves blood circulation and generally bestows a feeling of energy and well-being. More advanced exercises such as dance or aerobics can literally get your whole system into gear, making you feel right at the top of the world, keeping you smiling all day long!

Music therapy

Music works wonders to relieve one of stress. In fact, it has been medically proven that certain types of melodies can actually heal the mind, quiet it down and give the listener immense peace and calm. There are many musicians all over the world trying to do more research on this subject. The Internet is filled with many types of music, especially meant to relax the mind and free it of its immense stress.

Aromatherapy

Many people also believe that aromatherapy helps them reduce stress levels. Certain types of soothing smells trigger certain chemical reactions in the brain, which in turn, acts to ease the mind of its worries and cares. This method is not at all expensive and has the potential of helping you out immensely. Do give it a try.

The above are only some tips to reduce stress. There are many, many other ways you can think of to cut down the tensions in your life. The key to improving the quality of your life is to learn to take life with the proverbial pinch of salt and not get too upset with its day-to-day problems and issues. Don’t worry, be happy!

Dr. Masaru Emoto’s Healing Prayer for the Gulf

Focusing our energies in response to the Gulf tragedy and for healing the waters and its inhabitants -

Many of you will recognize Dr. Masaru Emoto as the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water.  Among other things, his research reveals that water physically responds to emotions.

Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf.

And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms, if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr Emoto, himself, has proposed.

“I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings.

To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton, coral, algae, and all living creatures . . . we are sorry.

Please forgive us.

Thank you.
I love you. ”

the gulf of mexico

We are not powerless.  We are powerful.  Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily…multiple times daily…can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening.

We don’t have to know how…we just have to recognize that the power of LOVE is greater than any power active in the Universe today.

Please join us in oft repeating this healing prayer and feel free to copy and paste this to send it around the planet.

Let’s take charge, and do our own clean up!

And so it is!  Pass it on.

Happy Memorial Day – Peace on Earth

Welcome!

Here’s an inspiring story a friend sent me today:

John is the kind of guy some people love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, ‘If I were any better, I would be twins!’

He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, ‘I don’t get it!’

‘You can’t be a positive person all of the time.
How do you do it?’

He replied, ‘Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or…you can choose to be in a bad mood

I choose to be in a good mood.’

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or…I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or…I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.

‘Yeah, right, it’s not that easy,’ I protested.

‘Yes, it is,’ he said. ‘Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It’s your choice how you live your life.’

I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, ‘If I were any better, I’d be twins…Wanna see my scars?’

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

‘The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,’ he replied. ‘Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or…I could choose to die. I chose to live.’

‘Weren’t you scared? Did you lose consciousness?’ I asked.

He continued, ‘…the paramedics were great.

They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read ‘he’s a dead man’. I knew I needed to take action.’

‘What did you do?’ I asked.

‘Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,’ said John. ‘She asked if I was allergic to anything ‘Yes, I replied.’ The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, ‘Gravity”

Over their laughter, I told them, ‘I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.’

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude….I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.

Finding it hard to sleep at night?

cloudsA recent study conducted by the Harvard Women’s Health Watch reports that sleep difficulties visit 75 percent of women at least a few nights per week. Here’s one way to find relief.

Think positive. People who focus on the positive tend to sleep better and experience better health in general. Remember: thoughts are like the clouds; they float in and out – you don’t have to attach to them!

Optimistic Women

womens health, power positive thinking Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine have found that postmenopausal women who were optimistic had decreased rates of death and were less likely to be diabetic or suffer from hypertension than their negative counterparts. The researchers analyzed data from nearly 100,000 women in an ongoing study funded by the National Institutes of Health. The optimistic women were 30 percent less likely to die from heart disease than the pessimists. The negative-thinking women were 23 percent more likely to die from cancer.

Boost Your Brain Power

brain power

Science is making the interesting discovery that there are healthy brain foods that can boost your brain performance when eaten regularly. Here are a few of my favorite brain power foods that should be part of your healthy lifestyle.

1. Water

For optimal brain function, it’s important that you drink sufficient quantities of water. When you’re dehydrated, your nerve cells can’t operate efficiently and your brain function is diminished. Water is fundamental to all life processes and the brain is no exception.

2. Antioxidants

More evidence is accumulating that brain aging and some chronic brain diseases are a result of free radical damage to brain cells. Antioxidants help to offset this free radical damage which may help to slow down the aging process and prevent cognitive decline. One of the best sources for these brain preserving antioxidants are fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants. Fruits and vegetables with the highest concentration of antioxidants tend to be brightly colored produce such as blueberries, strawberries, and spinach. Adding these foods for brain power to your diet on a regular basis may help to keep your brain functioning at its peak capacity.

3. Fish Oils

You’re probably already familiar with the heart healthy effects of omega 3 fatty acids found in fish oils. Those same oils also help to give your brain a boost by helping brain cells function at their peak capacity. To get the positive brain boosting benefits of omega 3s, you’ll need to consume fish rich in omega 3 fatty acids at least three times a week. Fish that are high in omega 3′s are cold water fish. Not a fan of seafood? Omega 3 fatty acid supplements are also available.

Practice Control Over Your Thoughts

Power Positive Thinking - Control Your Mind
Eliminating all negative thought from your consciousness is not easy and it will not happen overnight. However, as you become aware of your thoughts, you will begin to recognize them as either positive or negative. Most of us spend our days with thoughts running in and out of our brain and we don’t stop to analyze them. Now is the time to begin analyzing your thoughts.

As you begin to feel negative thoughts and energy, change them to positive thoughts
immediately. Words or thoughts like I can’t, I don’t, I won’t are all negative.
Replace them with, I can, I do, I will. For example: Instead of thinking,“I don’t want to
get stuck in traffic,” think“I do want to get where I’m going quickly and I will handle what
ever comes my way with patience and intelligence.”

If you find negative thoughts are overwhelming you, evaluate why you’re having so
many negative thoughts. Do not judge yourself for having the negative thoughts, merely
try to understand them. Once you understand why you’re feeling so negatively you can
take steps to move towards a more positive outlook.

You now have the tools to turn your life in a powerful and positive direction. There is
nothing that you can’t handle. You are in control of your life and in control of your
moods. Positive thinking is a skill and as you improve upon you ability to think positive,
you’ll find it will become second nature. As your ability to become completely positive
grows, few of life’s challenges will feel overwhelming. You will feel in control most of the
time and you will learn to believe that your health and your life are determined solely by
you.

Reboot Your Mind

relax

3 easy techniques to help give your brain a break

Our brains need to take regular breaks—ideally once a day—so that we stay mentally healthy, but quieting a busy mind doesn’t always come easily. Certified hypnotherapist Astara Summers suggests these do-anywhere techniques.

1. Tense one muscle group at a time (going from head to toe) and hold for 5 seconds, then relax for 30 seconds.

2. Sit in a quiet spot for 5 to 15 minutes and imagine that you’re resting by the ocean. Hear the waves; imagine the smell of the salt water.

3. Close your eyes and put your hands on your stomach. Take a slow deep breath in and hold for a few seconds. When exhaling, let out a loud, deep “Ahhh.” Repeat at least 3 times.

Why should you drink more water?

Drink More Water

We can survive for a month without food but can only survive about four days without water.

Our bodies are made of 70 percent water and need water for life and optimal functioning.

Personally, I have made drinking water a daily habit. Twenty-five years ago I experienced the pain and discomfort of a kidney infection. The doctor (which I haven’t had to see another since) gave me some pills and suggested I drink cranberry juice and especially more water.

At the ripe old age of 26 I was already experiencing the results of how a body can break down by simply not drinking enough water. I ain’t that smart, but I made water my drink of choice from that day forward.

For those who need their own reason…I offer you these:

1. Weight Loss

Water is one of the best tools for weight loss, first of all because it often replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice and alcohol with a drink that doesn’t have any calories. But it’s also a great appetite suppressant, and often when we think we’re hungry, we’re actually just thirsty. Water has no fat, no calories, no carbs, no sugar. Water regulates your metabolism so if you’re overweight chances are you may need more water. Drink plenty to help your weight-loss regimen.

2. Heart Healthy

Drinking a good amount of water could lower your risks of a heart attack. A six-year study published in the May 1, 2002 American Journal of Epidemiology found that those who drink more than 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from a heart attack during the study period than those who drank less than two glasses.

3. Energy

Being dehydrated can sap your energy and make you feel tired — even mild dehydration of as little as 1 or 2 percent of your body weight. If you’re thirsty, you’re already dehydrated — and this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms. Every cell and organ in your body requires adequate water to function properly.

4. Headache Cure

Another symptom of dehydration is headaches. In fact, often when we have headaches it’s simply a matter of not drinking enough water. There are lots of other causes of headaches of course, but dehydration is a common one.

5. Healthy Skin

Drinking water can clear up your skin and people often report a healthy glow after drinking water. It won’t happen overnight, of course, but just a week of drinking a healthy amount of water can have good effects on your skin.

6. Digestive Problems

Our digestive systems need a good amount of water to digest food properly. Often water can help cure stomach acid problems, and water along with fiber can cure constipation (often a result of dehydration). Be sure to drink water on an empty stomach or you’ll simply be diluting your digestive enzymes and making your digestion less effective.

7. Cleansing

Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products from the body. Water helps to eliminate wastes and toxins from your body through the lymphatic system, kidneys, and intestines. So, one of the quickest and easiest ways to improve your health is to start drinking more pure water every day.

8. Cancer Risk

Related to the digestive system item above, drinking a healthy amount of water has also been found to reduce the risk of colon cancer by 45%. Drinking lots of water can also reduce the risk of bladder cancer by 50% and potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer.

9. Better Exercise

Being dehydrated can severely hamper your athletic activities, slowing you down and making it harder to lift weights. Exercise requires additional water, so be sure to hydrate before, during and after exercise.

10. Body Pains

Drinking more water actually helps lessen pain in your body by getting your lymphatic system moving. Water lubricates your joints and helps reduce joint pain and protect against wear and tear.
